The enjoyment of sugar is the central theme here.
While making these paintings I felt there was a close affiliation between the sometimes sickly taste of these sweets and the physical consistency of the oil paint.
The paint became saccharine in quality to me.
The sweet paintings with their fantastic colours look superb on clean white walls.
